The second night option lets you choose from our main dinner menu which has a wide choice. The deal includes two courses (upgrade to three courses for £15/person).

The menus are now welcoming new season produce such as asparagus, Jersey Royals, local spring lamb and the return of wild seabass.

  • Child in room: £30 / £10 cot per night.
  • Doggie stay: £15 per night.
  • Rates include tax (VAT). There is no service charge on room and breakfast charges. We do add an optional 10% service charge to ALL food and drink charges. For guests on 'dinner, B & B', and package rates, we set the dinner element at £52.00 per person. We will add £5.20 per person, plus 10% of any drinks and menu upgrade charges to your invoice.
  • In exceptional circumstances, we may need to change the room you booked. In which case we will upgrade whenever possible.
  • Check in from: 4.00 pm., check out by: 11.00 noon.

Reservations must be confirmed with a valid credit or debit card. We request a non-refundable deposit of £50.00 per person. In the event of a cancellation this will be retained against a future booking. We reserve the right to charge of the full package rate if cancellation is made within 48 hours of arrival date.

DAYTIME IDEAS TO INTEREST YOU

Pontcysyllte aqueduct

Built by Thomas Telford 200 years ago, it’s is over a 1000 feet long, 126 feet above the river Dee. A world Heritage Site. You can cross it by narrow boat from The Wharf in Llangollen for a three-hour return trip. Marvel at the engineering and the landscape.  www.horsedrawnboats.co.uk

BALA

The largest natural body of water in Wales, the waters are famously deep and clear. The town of Bala sits at its northern end and the narrow gauge Bala Lake Railway runs along the lake’s southern shore.

Or take a steam train ride from Llanuwchllyn. A delightful journey with excellent views of the lake with the pastoral and wooded scenery of the nearby mountains.

RUTHIN

Walk around the historical market town of Ruthin, with its selection of delightful shops, tea houses and restaurants. Check the time on the clock tower in St Peter’s Square, enjoy a coffee at the Ruthin Castle hotel which stands in the grounds of the original castle which burnt down back in 1400.  Pop your head into the half timbered Nat West Bank which was the old court house built back in 1401 and features the remains of a gibbet last used to execute a Franciscan priest.

Visit the Gaol which ceased to operate as a prison back in 1916 and has been extensively renovated and is now open as a museum.

CHIRK CASTLE

A magnificent medieval fortress of the Welsh marches, that’s still lived in today. Features from 700 years ago include the medieval tower and dungeon, a 17th century long gallery, the grand 18th century state apartments, servants’ hall and historic laundry. BODNANT GARDEN

A world famous garden noted for its botanical collections. Marvel at plants from all over the world grown from seed and cuttings collected over a century ago on plant hunting expeditions of one family.
